City of Winnipeg Permit Amnesty Program
The City of Winnipeg has launched the Permit Amnesty Program. It began on June 1, 2021 and will run for one year, until May 31, 2022.
The program will allow homeowners who have done renovations, repairs or builds to their property without the required permits to apply for the permits and have their work inspected and approved in compliance with Codes, By-laws and safety standards.
The post-construction permit fee will be waived, but payment of usual permit fees will still apply.
You will have three years to have the work inspected after completion.
